
lateral swing jump
The lateral swing jump is a great exercise that works many muscles of the lower body. The exercise develops the strength of lateral movements which will help make movements more dynamic. This jump engages the quadriceps, medial and lateral muscles of the thigh and the calves. Sports such as baseball and football etc. will benefit from this exercise. As always, a warm-up should be done before performing this exercise. The exercise amount is 4 sets, 12-15 reps.

Equipment: None
Process
Starting Position: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart
Action: Swing the leg on the side that you are going to jump across the stationary leg. Swing that same leg across to the other side and jump in that direction as far as possible. Land on both feet. Repeat by jumping back to the starting position by reversing the process.
Target Muscle Groups: Quadriceps, calves, medial and lateral thigh muscles.
