Standing jump over object is a simple exercise that works to strengthen the lower leg muscles as well as increase the height of your jump. This exercise is great for improving performance in sports such as baseball, basketball and football. The simple jump over object engages and develops the quadriceps, calves, and glutes (butt). A warm-up should be done before performing this exercise to prevent injury. The exercise amount is 4 sets, 12-15 reps.

Equipment: Cone or hurdle or object
Process
Starting Position: Stand with feet shoulder-width apart
Action: Bending only at the hips, bring the knees up and jump over the barrier. Be sure to jump directly over the object. Do not split apart or turn the knees sideways to clear the object. The body should remain in a straight line. Note: Use of a big arm swing will help maximize height of the jump to ensure clearance over the barrier.
